When the door slams open, his vision blacks out at the edges as light filters in. By the time he manages to adjust to the sudden brightness, he can see who came in, and recognizing the face in front of him shocks him in place.
Of all the people in the world—of all the people he would’ve ever expected, he would not have expected Dick fucking Grayson to walk through the door. Jason doesn’t even believe it at first. He must be in some kind of delirium if he’s imagining Golden Boy to come to his rescue. Deathstroke really has the good drugs, huh?
What’s even more shocking is when Dick, in all his black and blue glory, gets on his knees and cups Jason’s face.
