Summary
At first, the world only knew Winter, then Spring was born from a lonely wish, soon followed by Summer and Autumn. The deities then came together to lend their powers to the mortals, allowing the chosen Agents to bring forth the seasons in their stead. A truth the world has known for millennias.
Ten years ago, a group ideologically against the Agents, insurgents, cut down the bringers of Winter and Summer, somehow banishing both seasons from the land since. The villages charged with raising and protecting these gods incarnate searched high and low for the next generation of Agents, finding no sign. But they had to be out there, so they endured, land and people both praying that fate would bring them back safe and sound.
Somewhere, in a hidden base, a young cowpoke discovered a child who made ice flowers in the palm of their hand.
A meeting by chance that led to events no one knew they'd set off.
TLDR: Cocoapowder roadtrip to bring Winter back, which is more convoluted than it should be

Summary
Sakura wished desperately for her lady's love. She kept brushing it off and neglecting it trying to not let it overwhelm her, but she finally hit her limit right before the ritual with the other seasons would take place, with none other than Hinagiku to witness her moment of anguish and wish.
(Mild spoilers up the end of dance of spring/volume 2 of the ln, mainly in some story beats and a bit of backstories for Hinagiku and Sakura. Also canon divergent in Hinagiku's feelings mainly)

Words are cheap. Promises are broken as easily as they are made. Even Itecho, the ever steadfast and reliable, has fallen victim to the statements he couldn't keep. Life has proven, time and time again, that actions are louder than words.
Which is extremely ironic—for right now, those are the one thing Rosei took for granted. He spoke too little, words too few. All the past conversations with Hinagiku were barely enough to sate his loneliness in the decade of her absence. So, he poured all the cheap words he knows on sheets of delicate parchment, hoping to create something worthy of setting her gaze upon.
