Summary
The Force is out of Balance. Unfortunately, it's Chosen One has done little to fix this, and has even Turned to the Dark Side, furthering the Unbalance. The entities created directly by the Force, who guide those who use it, have decided he requires a nudge in the right direction. A rather large nudge.
But not everybody, or even the Chosen One himself, agrees with this plan.

Summary
Rick Grimes is a homicide detective whose life has fallen apart. Shattered by his best friend's death and the implosion of his marriage, he leaves Atlanta and moves back to his childhood home of King County, Georgia, to pin on a deputy's badge and pick up the pieces of his life.
Daryl Dixon is a hunter whose brother and hunting partner got arrested for a murder he didn't commit. Tired of his thankless job, he's content to just coast through his new civilian life, until people in town start dying in mysterious, and familiar, ways.
The only way they're getting out of this alive is by working together.

"This was the price to pay to maybe, maybe, maybe one day be accepted as part of the group. He just had to show them that he could be useful, he could be good. He could rise above the curse of being a Dixon, he could make them forget the unpleasantness that stuck to his skin more stubbornly than dirt. If he tried hard enough, maybe they could stop thinking about how stupid and rash and undeserving he was. And even if they couldn’t, maybe they could simply overlook it, overlook him, forget that they were supposed to have an opinion on him in the first place. He would never give them another reason to cast him out. Then, he could stay."

Summary
Movement in the mirror warned Victor a second too late. Six silver knives burst several inches out of his chest as Logan stabbed him through the driver seat.
Victor snarled unintelligibly and struggled to keep the jeep on the road, pressing down harder on the pedal. They needed more distance before he could deal with this.
Three blades retreated and returned a few seconds later, cutting through Victor's shoulder with ease. His vision blurred from blood loss and the wheels slid off the road, smashing through bushes and thin spindly trees until a boulder crumpled in the front of the vehicle and sent Victor crashing through the windshield.
Logan ripped his claws free from the seat and carved his way out of the jeep, mad with fear and whatever chemicals they'd been flooding him with.
"Jimmy," Victor groaned into the dirt, struggling to push himself up on broken arms. "You are makin' it real difficult to rescue you!"

Victor Creed gets a new job with all the killing he could want and the longest romantic relationship he's ever had. Logan gets invited up to Alkali Lake to meet her and has the worst birthday of his life. Cue brotherly bonding in the form of murder.
