“Where are we at?” Luke asked after a while.
Biggs didn’t look up. “Currently… Lothal, I think.”
Luke tilted his head. “As in the Outer rim?” They often studied star maps late into the night; probably knew the name of every planet in the galaxy by now. He was kind of proud he remembered it. “That’s a bit random, isn’t it?”
Biggs wrinkled his nose. “You know what? It’s another imperial line, anyway, let’s just-”
“We have been called criminals, but we are not,” a new voice cut him off, exploding into the room as sudden and unexpected as fireworks.

Summary
The Force is hateful, which is why the Rebel ship is gone when Maul returns to the place of its former position. Ezra must sense Maul’s building rage because he yawns and tries to catch a fluttering moth that passes by his head with a total lack of success. Maul murmurs vitriol into his temple as he takes both of them in angry lines across the field until the heat overtaking the back of his head has more or less burned itself out.
He’s calm. He’s calm, he’s fine, he’s calm. One cannot explode into sun-levels of radiant fury when one is carrying a body susceptible to sunburn.
“Your crew is dead to me,” he tells Ezra, who responds with inarticulate babble in an agreeable tone.
(Maul acquires a de-aged baby Ezra and looks after him for a little while until he can reunite him with his friends.)

BeeDee screamed out an order.
He slammed his finger down on the detonator. The explosion was instant and he started to curl up to make himself a smaller target. He never finished, arms were suddenly around his waist. More explosions rocked the area, but he could only watch in fascination. Cal was doing something, ripping chunks of machinery from the area around them somehow. Those twisted and bent shining objects flew one after another into the inferno growing inside the factory. They were like loth wolves going after prey. He watched the scene with wide eyes.
