Summary
Sakura is dispatched hundreds of miles away from home on a mission to help Anko thwart a once-in-a-generation powerful shinobi from potentially going rogue. The catch: she has to live at a traditional bathhouse and pretend to charm the patrons who frequent it to keep up appearances while Anko tries to earn their target's trust. With Sound in the market for more strong ninja to recruit into their ranks as suitable vessels for Orochimaru, this is an opportunity Konoha can't pass up--and Sakura can't pass up the chance for a possible inroad to Sasuke.
Unfortunately, Sakura and Anko didn't count on Akatsuki's interest in their target, or the lengths to which its dedicated members will go to recruit him first. Sakura soon finds herself in the crosshairs of a dangerous criminal searching for an escape from the crushing ennui of being human.

“I don’t get you,” he spoke. “One minute you’re out in the mines like you’ve got something to prove, next you’re laughing with Balor like he’s your damn boyfriend, and now you show up dripping wet in my forge acting like you own the place.”
She raised an eyebrow. “You’re really good at paying attention to everything I do. Almost like it bothers you.”
That made something ignite behind his eyes.
“But sure,” Ari added, voice sharpening. “Let’s pretend the problem is me. ”
March scoffed—icy and sharp. “You don’t get to play innocent when you’re the one lighting the match every time…messing with people."
“Oh?” She stepped forward, slowly. “Am I messing with you, March?”
He didn’t answer, his breath hitching and his Adam's apple bobbing nervously.
She tilted her head. “Because I think if I were really trying, you’d be a whole lot more messed up by now.”

"Uh, you lost me, Boss."
"The thing you eat with. Like a fork or a knife but for soup," Clara says, and she's making the motion as if she's eating cereal while she's speaking, as if using the muscles will help her remember if she ever knew it.
"A spoon?" Deacon says it almost as more of a question, like he's unsure if that's the answer or not.
Clara snaps her fingers and grins widely. "Yes! Spoon!"
