After Chuck was defeated, Sam couldn't help but feel like there was another shoe about to drop, another big bad just waiting to tear him away from his brother. It was hard to settle into the quiet, especially with Dean feeling physically further away than he had in a long time. But in accordance with their 'no chick-flick' rule, he couldn't just say that, now could he? Still, Dean figured it out eventually, and tried to remedy it any way he could...without clueing Sam in.

After a hunting accident puts Sam out of commission for a couple of days, Dean decides to surprise his brother with a new phone, since his old one is toast. Even better is when he finds that he’s been able to save all of Sam’s old information and restore it to his cell. That’s when he discovers an old voicemail that Sam has kept saved for the last two and a half years… Charity fic for help_japan. sinka won a fic from me and requested some Voicemail fix-it fic, and that is what I have attempted here.
