hh. the author understood the assignment SO FUCKING WELL, are you guillermo del toro in disguise? the fuck???
this is perfect. absolute perfection, and i'm going to consider it canon alongside the movie because it's just so in line with everything else. this characterization is PEAK bro. i could hear it all. i need to watch the movie again.
victor and the creature's relationship is so much more than father and son to me, obviously. the fact that the creature here compares himself to satan, disgraced by his creator and only wanting his love, and victor as his cruel god – what the fuuuck. using paradise lost as a parallel to the creature and victor is ingenious and exactly what gdt intended by including it in the movie. AND PEOPLE BASH THIS MOVIE! WHAT OTHER FRANKENSTEIN MOVIE OUT THERE HAS DONE ANYTHING REMOTELY SIMILAR TO THIS?? WHO WILL EVER UNDERSTAND GOTHIC HORROR AND THE APPEAL OF MAKING MONSTERS ("monsters") SYMPATHETIC LIKE GUILLERMO DEL TORO?? AHHHHHHH
um. anyway i really liked frankenstein 2025 and this probably won't be my last bookmark in the tag teehee 😊😊

my head literally aches from crying. that's how bad this got me. okay rare lore dump to the void of the internet: my mom's had two miscarriages, one before me and one after me, so like. this hurts, this is personal and it was WRITTEN personally i could FEEL and SYMPATHIZE with it AUGH
this was really well written, everyone was characterized correctly, the smut didn't seem too randomly thrown in, I LOVE IT A LOT

"This isn't about us!" Optimus says, louder than intended. He berates himself for losing his composure when Megatron's lips curl into a smirk. "I am willing to do anything to keep Cybertron safe."
"Safe from me, you mean," Megatron says, gesturing towards the dark halls of the Nemesis outside of Optimus' prison cell.
"Yes.”
An arranged bond is a dangerous, loveless union in which one's death can have catastrophic consequences for the other. It's a trap with no way out.
It's also Optimus' only chance to end the war, so he proposes a deal Megatron is unable to refuse.
