Summary
Dorothea Frazil was too cynical to believe in love at first sight. But something about the way the rain streamed down the strange boy’s face made something stir in her.
Not a romantic love, of course. He was only a child, one who was only just turning the corner into manhood. He was small for his age (even smaller when she learned he was closer to eighteen than the eleven she had assumed he was), and painfully thin, stood shivering in his oversized coat. Some would assume he was weak and feeble, but the stubborn set of his jaw portrayed an unexpected strength, drawn from deep within him. It was almost enough to distract from the crust of blood at his nostrils, and the ring of purple bruises around his throat.
Almost enough.
“Am I right in thinking this is the address of a Ms Dorothea Frazil, of the Oxford Mail?”
A stranger with familiar eyes turns up on Dorothea Frazil's doorstep in the middle of the night, with a split lip, a suitcase and a stolen car. This one encounter will change both of their lives, and the lives of many others in Oxford, forever.

Summary
When Paul was thirteen, his mother had told him how they used to worry about him when he was younger. She said he had the habit of saying the strangest things, knowing the strangest things. On a family vacation when he was seven, he'd seen the Berlin Cathedral and said, "I've been here."
Paul lived in Stuttgart, he most certainly had never been in Berlin before the age of seven.
But yet, he had. He had been there. He remembers water dripping down the majestic dome, water streaking down his prescription glasses, clothes soaked in the rain. The sky a stormy grey as he shuffled down the street- long brown coat splashed with mud and that had been annoying- that was his favorite coat.

Summary
"Two years. It had been two years since 98 children and one Robot vanished through a wormhole and landed on Alpha Centauri. Two years since the Robinson children had seen their parents. Two years since anyone on that transport ship had heard from their families."
The lost colonists appear into the lives of people who long thought they were dead. Don and Judy aren't the same people they were before, though. Is the spark that they once felt still there?
