“You,” Crowley said. “You are in the Musketeers? You.”
“That’s... that’s my assignment, yes.”
Crowley put his spectacles back on, but not before Aziraphale caught the massive eyeroll. “Okay, whose musketeers?”

“Did you ever see one?”
“See what, angel?”
“The marks-- the soul marks. What if we were soul mates?”
“I think I’d know if I had a magic mark on me.”
Soulmates are real, but rare, given marks of the Almighty’s approval.
Crowley and Aziraphale do not have them.
They're not going to let that stop them.

Summary
Aziraphale was back. Crowley could feel it, could always tell when the angel returned from Heaven. The whole feel of grey, wet winter London got brighter and warmer when Aziraphale was back in the world.
It seemed a little weak this time, though. Bits of radiance snaked through the snow and dirty slush, rather than shining brightly out from Soho. Something was wrong about that.
Crowley was out the door of his flat before he could think about it.

"Honestly.” Aziraphale huffed at him. “What’s gotten into you? Anathema and her young man are going to be here before long.”
Crowley shook himself. “Right. Right... I’ll just hang these up then, shall I?”
“If you’d be so kind.” Aziraphale bustled off, leaving Crowley staring at the mistletoe in his hand.
...his hand, which was growing numb.
“Uh... angel?”
“Yes, dearest?”
“Was mistletoe ever used to ward off evil?”

“More.”
“Of course, dear.” Aziraphale kissed him, softly at first, then more ardently. “Be patient with me, I promise I won’t leave you wanting.”
More kissing, he liked the kissing, but it wasn’t enough to quiet his mind when he was like this. When he felt scoured and emptied and wrung out.

“Aren’t you cold?” Crowley turned into him, wrapping gangly limbs around him and tucking that lovely face into his neck.

“Mmm. Could be warmer.”

Summary
Crowley made it to Paris before everything went to hell.
Okay, he admitted, dodging into a darkened side street and jumping onto a balcony-- that wasn’t quite true. Everything had gone to hell well before then. That’s why he was there. Specifically, desperately, because everything had gone to hell.
Or rather, Hell had come to Earth.
