Violet Riddle didn't have to turn to Horcruxes for her immortality, for she had a better option – a dark and secret transformation, passed down from the ancient and terrible Empresses of Atlantis. She chose to become an Ophidian, powerful, sociopathic, immortal, and near-impossible to kill.
The prophecy said that Harry Potter would be the one to defeat the Dark Lady, and so Dumbledore prepared him in secret, teaching him all about the Ophidians, their weaknesses, and the means by which they can be defeated. "Who is He?" Harry wonders. Ginny had been acting strange, and now Harry caught a glimpse of Her and another, fucking right in their marital bed. Didn't help that he found out about all of the potions, compulsions, hexes, and thefts. Although, death had been telling him about a possible do over... Maybe he can save and keep his favorite three snakes this time?
TlDr: Harry finds Ginny with someone else. It's the last straw in this comedy of errors. Time Travel ensues. TRxSSxHPxLM. Don't like? Don't read. I’m going to try and not make crack this time, but I might fail, who knows!

The dementor attack prior to Harry's fifth year shakes something in his soul, awakening the horcrux hidden deep within him. He begins to have dreams of a young Tom Riddle. He is also pretty sure he is hallucinating a voice that claims to be Voldemort and that he has been with him for years yet unable to communicate with Harry.

Horcrux Tom Riddle/Voldemort ends up corrupting Harry now that he can talk to him and pushes him away from his light-oriented friends and Dumbledore.
