    My first memory was of heaviness, of tension crackling through the air. I saw the sky crack into pieces, spilling thunder that unfurled in splendid strands across the earth.

    I saw that searing fire burn through the world while god-men laughed, intoxicated by the struggle, emboldened by the power they possess, false gods getting torn from their high perches, joining the ground in a dripping crescendo.

    I smelt the smoke of burning flesh, the crackling skin cooking in the heat, the repulsive musk of human waste in the ever raging wind.

    I heard screams tear through the air like a never ending symphony. The incessant shouts and screams of a foreign tongue, which despair rings true and undoubted.

    The clink of chains piercing through the chaos like birdsong, and a never ending rumble to the earth, as if the island was tearing apart at the seams, as if the world was about to break apart like an eggshell: the mother of all things beginning to resculpt the world from the bottom up.

    I was in the valley of gods; hell was empty, and all the devils were here.
