Summary
Ollie had become different lately. He had a certain bounce in his step, a je ne sais quoi that made him seem like an ecstatic animal. The man seemed happy to do anything the team asked of him.
Alongside the strange joy, he was becoming increasingly paranoid. When Esteban caught Ollie smiling nonsensically at his phone, the younger was quick to hide whatever he was looking at. A few other incidents of unnecessary privacy—not letting Esteban into his hotel room before "double-checking" something, turning down questions about plans, getting randomly defensive—blended into a heap of hints for Esteban to inspect.
And he had inspected parts—he wasn't an idiot. He knew where the arrows were pointing. The real question was whether he was allowed to make that leap, to fully admit his hypothesis as fact.
