It had worked really well, kidnapping kids to force their relatives to behave, I s’pose it was only a matter of time before they did it the other way around. Thing was,” he faced them, and Harry was astonished to see that he was grinning, “they bit off a bit more than they could chew with Gran. Little old witch living alone, they probably thought they didn’t need to send anyone particularly powerful. Anyway,” Neville laughed, “Dawlish is still in St. Mungo’s and Gran’s on the run. She sent me a letter,” he clapped a hand to the breast pocket of his robes, “telling me she was proud of me, that I’m my parents’ son, and to keep it up.”

Lily Evans and James Potter are not friends.
They haven’t been for all the nine years they've spent circling the same friendship group. But now, thanks to a road trip gone wrong, they find themselves stranded together in the depths of a Romanian forest.
The crash was Potter’s fault. And Sirius Black, of course. Now Black and the others are on their way to a hospital, while Lily is stuck with Potter, hoping a kind stranger might stop and help them reach the nearest village. But they do not know that this is no ordinary forest. People go missing here. Bodies, when found, are drained of blood. And in the nearby villages, there are whispers of monsters that walk like men.

Severus Snape overhears Sybill Trelawney's prophecy and thinks it through a little before repeating it. He changes one word- seven to six- July to June- with no idea of just how far reaching the consequences will be. And so, on Halloween of 1981, Voldemort targets a different boy.
Narcissa and Lucius find out very early on how far they are prepared to go to keep their son safe. But they do have allies, and some of them turn out to very unexpected.
And so begins the War of the Snakes.
