    Prompt: I dunno if you r up for a Mickey-moving-on prompt? Like when Ian comes to his senses, Mickey is not in jail anymore and nowhere to be found. A few years on, Ian is still desperately trying to find Mickey. One day he earns the chance to lunch with their CEO when he gets promoted. He hears gossips of how much their boss likes to dote on his boyfriend (please emphasise on that) And of coz said boyfriend turns out to be Mickey and Ian sees for himself he has no chance with Mickey anymore.

    Shane's eyes widen at that name, only now understanding what Hayden's talking about. Because he might not have a girl in Boston, but-

    Ilya says nothing for a few seconds and Shane glances up again from typing to see he’s being stared at with teasing eyes. He hates how the look still makes his heart flutter and neck go warm.

    “Amazing shape,” Ilya parrots in a poor North American accent. “So kind of you to notice, Hollander. Good to know for future matches.” The smirk that launched a thousand penalty shots. “Or maybe you just like looking at older boring hockey players? Good to know for me.”
