He doesn’t respond for a moment, back turned to her as his hand slowly raises to ghost over his lips.
Friends, Katsuki echoes to himself, thinking back to the taste of smoke and cheap spearmint gum.
“Yeah,” he says finally.

Summary
Bakugou has always hated Todoroki.
Mostly because Todoroki has managed to be better than Bakugou in every aspect of life, every aspect that Bakugou has always been better than others at, and every aspect that Bakugou has always pinned his self worth on.
In mock exams, Todoroki constantly beats Bakugou to second spot, behind the girl with that weird hairstyle, and Bakugou's always been third.
In hero training, Todoroki always steals the show with his awesome duel quirk, and manages to get the job more effectively and efficiently done than Bakugou could even dream of.
In quirk training, Bakugou's explosion quirk could be easily seen from 10km away, but one could feel Todoroki's ice freezing the ground, and then quickly becoming hotter, even 40km away (Bakugou has experienced it)
Somehow or another, Todoroki always beats Bakugou.
And Bakugou hates Todoroki for it.
