Alastor felt a sigh escape his lips. That disgusting little insect. Was it even his intention to do this? Or was it simply a by-product of his usual crass dealings? There must be purpose behind injury, otherwise it’s just thoughtless brutality.

Summary
A wixen's sixteenth birthday is one of significance for pureblood society. While you come of age at seventeen, your bloodline magics are inherited the year before (or not). Severus had counted himself out of this category - as a halfblood and the son of blood traitor, he discounts himself from this experience entirely. He's more focused on having his best friend back, dodging his relentless deatheater wannabe roommates, and attempting to erase the events of fifth year from his mind. Mother Magic doesn't care for future plans however.
He's not the first halfblood to earn his inheritance, but he'll certainly be the first to do something with it.

Ch18, so beautifully written, Sev is slowly falling apart, can't trust anyone and everyone expects something of him, loyalty, submission, evilness etc. I can only hope for the near impossible - update.
