To right the misinformation in history that lead to the split in desert and forest. He was paired with the Archon's right-hand-man, an enigmatic man around his age that went by the moniker Hat Guy.
Can Sethos do such a momentous task? Probably not, but he'll give it a shot.

Summary
Durin gets pulled into a strange Ley Line anomaly and wakes up alone in a Teyvat he doesn’t recognize. He meets Scaramouche, thinking that it’s just some strange alternate timeline where Hat Guy is a Fatui Harbinger, but it’s only a matter of time before he learns that he’s actually been pulled into a past that the world should have forgotten.
He also ends up joining the Fatui, somehow, but that’s neither here nor there. The important part is that he needs the help of both Scaramouche and the Albedo of the past to help him solve his Ley Line problem… if he can get them to work together, that is.

Wanderer froze instantly, his eyes meeting those of the guy with his arms crossed, who was looking back at him with wariness.
‘No, this can't be-’ His eyes widened as he looked at his own face reflected in the other person's - the same face, the same eyes, but this time he was standing face-to-face with them, as if staring into a mirror that should not exist.
But what struck him even harder was what the other version of him was wearing.
The outfit was unmistakable.
Dark, imposing, laced with the authority and weight of a past he had long since cast aside - The attire he had worn when he was a Fatui Harbinger. When he was Scaramouche.
"Are you just going to stand there and stare like an idiot?"

Due to some errors of Irminsul, Scaramouche and Kabukimono somehow got brought back but as two different individuals. Now they have to lied to everyone that they're triplets and play along with that lie.
