Summary
Hans was at the Devil's Den. Alone. Well, the Pack was here, as were the rest of the patrons, but Henry wasn't so it felt more miserable than usual.
His loyal squire was off on one of his trips in which he crammed as many chores as he humanly could do in two days' time. He'd only left that morning, with a kiss to his cheek and a promise to return from Kuttenberg soon, thus Hans (though noticeably poutier than usual) wasn't worried.
So he was surprised when he heard Mutt's familiar barking approaching before night had fully fallen. Had Henry forgotten something? Did he miss him too much and couldn’t bear to be apart any longer?
But when he stepped outside to greet his lover, his smile crumbled: only Mutt was here. No sign of Pebbles, nor Henry. There was something tied to the dog's neck, though. Already feeling his heart pounding in his throat, Hans grabbed the thing — a letter — and started reading.

Summary
It’s been almost two hours since Henry and Adela had administered the potion to Sir Thomas. Henry has the utmost confidence in his own alchemy skills, but the sight of the feverish man worries him all the same. If the Captain doesn’t wake up in time…
“...pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death—”
Henry’s voice catches at the last syllable.
“—Amen.”
The final bell rings clear and cruel as the cawing of carrion crows.
Hans hesitates to do anything that might disturb the moment.
He’d usually rush to fill any quietness with words. Stillness is risky—it leaves him to wander in the hallways of his mind, and he isn’t sure he could face what lies behind the doorways. But with his most trusted companion here, it doesn’t seem so frightening at the moment.
The first chapter is Henry's inner thoughts during For Whom The Bell Tolls, adding the missing scene between the near-death-experience and the moment he and Hans are ready to meet von Bergow. The second chapter is the night that follows, again told through Henry's POV, and the third chapter is Hans' perspective of that same experience.

Summary
He’d certainly hoped to find his old pal soon and go to the wedding together, but he wouldn’t have imagined that Henry would all but literally land himself on his lap all of a sudden.
“...I missed you,” was Henry’s answer.
Hans expected a lot of possible replies. “I was worried about you getting into trouble without me again”, or perhaps “I can’t believe you’ve been here all along, you certainly know how to hide!”, or in his wildest dreams “I can’t do this without your help, Sir Hans, please help me.”
But not the raw simplicity of “I missed you”.
Or: Henry stumbles into Hans' hunting camp during the night. Hans wakes up.

Summary
A small movement in the corner of my eye catches my attention: the familiar form of Blane, crouched low near the balustrade.
I don’t say anything, already familiar with the ritual the two of us have created. I’d stumble upon them, we’d stay in peaceable silence for a bit—them because they’re concentrating, myself because I don’t want to spook them away—then one of us would say something to start a brief conversation, then we’d part ways, as always.
It’s comforting, somehow, to know the steps of this dance. This way, I know exactly how much distance there should be between us—just close enough to follow their movements without stepping on their toes.
It’s getting harder and harder to ignore the fact that there’s nothing I would rather do more than stop letting ourselves be carried by the tempo, to take their hands and plant my feet for a moment.
But I wouldn’t know how to act without that guidance, what to say when there’s no music and no bystanders, just us.

Summary
The boy regards Mike for a moment, trailing his eyes over his face with an intensity that warms his cheeks, “D’Artagnan will not harm you,” the boy says gravely.
Mike’s cheeks redden further, caught off guard, “What?”
The boy frowns glancing quickly at the shield before meeting Mike’s eyes once more, “The dragon. D’Artagnan will not harm you,” and then as if he had not just said the most insane thing he possibly could, “but I suggest you set up your camp in a safe location anyways. The woods can be dangerous at night.”
“ What? ”
Mike embarks on a quest to rescue his estranged childhood best friend from the claws of a vicious dragon only to be derailed by a strange protective shield and an even stranger magic user.

Summary
There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time to update.
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.
