Day Five - Conflicted
Day Ten - Pumpkin
Day Twenty-Eight - SacrificeLatest:
“Were you aware,” His voice was low, breath ruffling their wool, “That your scar is uneven?”The Lamb's ears twitched. “Mmh?”
“Eloquent,” Is the remark they receive in return. Then, they feel his claws on their delicate flesh. They know those claws are easily sharp enough to rend or piece. Instead, all they do is touch. So gently, so tenderly. “The scar is uneven. It sits higher on your nape than it does across your throat.”

Summary
There are many lessons the man who named himself Belos has learned in the process of creating his many Grimwalkers.
Those named Caleb always betray him more quickly than the rest. The older he creates a Grimwalker, the sooner they begin to stray. Their voices never change, short of receiving physical damage - only raise and lower in pitch depending on how young or how old he creates them. They are all proud and fiercely intelligent.
(They seldom have his brother’s hair, not that exact pale blonde shade, and they never have his eyes.)
Or: It’s been two months since his last Golden Guard betrayed him, and it’s time for the Emperor to create his next Grimwalker.

Summary
“Hidden, safe, the children must be kept.” Yoda’s voice rumbles forth, made quiet by exhaustion.
“We must take them somewhere the Sith will not sense their presence.” Obi-Wan agrees, and Ahsoka can’t find fault there. Some part of her doesn’t enjoy the eavesdropping - it feels wrong to manipulate the trust they’ve extended to she and Rex that allows them to walk the ship freely. But the Force keeps her rooted firmly in place, which she appreciates when the next portion of their conversation starts up.
“Split up, they should be.” Yoda murmurs, and Ahsoka’s spine goes ramrod straight.
What.
Surely Obi-Wan wouldn’t go along with that, wouldn’t allow Anakin and Padme’s children to grow up never knowing one another-
“My wife and I will take the girl.” Bail offers, quietly, and Obi-Wan is not protesting. He’s not protesting. Surely he knows Bail, as the Senator for Alderaan, will be located within the heart of the Empire regardless of his loyalties. If they want to keep the children safe from the Sith, that’s no place for them.
If Obi-Wan will not speak up, Ahsoka will.
or: family is what you make it.

Summary
bajur - education, the raising and nurturing of children, mando'a
mandalorians have a saying. family is more than blood.
their family has just gotten bigger by two, and despite neither of them having any child-rearing experience - and alarm bells blaring in the heads of everyone even vaguely aware of what's going on - they're determined enough to do right by them that somehow, this might just work.
or, a convenient stop at polis massa leaves a pair of starshine twins in the hands of an ex-jedi and a clone deserter. in the end, the galaxy is better for it.
