Mike glances over at him automatically.
Will laughs. “See? That’s exactly what I mean. You’ve been doing it for years, but now it’s like…it’s a lot, Mike. People are gonna notice.”
“But I wanna kiss you,” Mike whines.

“I guess I’m just angry about a lot of things.”
“Things like…?”
“Like, Mason, for fucking one.” Mike groans, untangling one of his hands to coarse through his bangs. He pushes it back, revealing his beautifully expressive brows. They curve, swoop, frown. Will holds back the urge to kiss it better. “And the fact that I knew your heat was coming but couldn’t get you to the nurse’s office fast enough. The fact that I couldn’t even stand up to Mason and his lackeys. That you did and I let you.”
If anybody else had said that, Will would’ve been offended. But coming from Mike, he knows he didn’t say that to mean he thinks Will can’t protect himself. He knows that he can. He was the only one to know it. Instead, it loosens Will’s control over his pheromones and a puff of affection shoots out.
Mike picks up on it, obvious from his quick sniff, but he keeps rambling on anyway. “The fact that that mouthbreather’s pheromones are what triggered your heat when it should have been mine,” he snarls out the last few words.
-Or, alternatively, how many heats does it take for Mike and Will to get together? The answer will not surprise you.

Summary
Mike clears his throat slightly and keeps the same edge to his tone in the hope of fully drawing Will back to what they’re doing. “Hands.”
The reaction is instant again, as it was earlier and Mike feels that same rush as Will moves quickly to clasp his hands behind his back. He hears Will mumble out a sorry, embarrassment evident in his tone and Mike decides to tease him, his distraction at nothing amusing for some reason.
“Huh? I can’t hear you.” He keeps his voice low in the quiet of the room but Will hears it. His breath stutters again and Mike watches in fascination as his neck starts to flush a deep pink.
Or
Mike and Will accidentally (kind of) begin a dom/sub dynamic after losing a bet and buying some items from a sex shop, all in the name of ‘non-romantic’ exploration! But really, what’s a little BDSM between friends?

"Now, I know you’ll resist," Mike blurts out, stepping toward him. "But I think this will be good. For both of us! For when we... you know,” Mike trails off, “When we get partners.”
Will scoffs, stepping closer to inspect the titles.

Or: Mike suggests a spicy card game to help Will loosen up before college. It works a little too well, and suddenly they’re gambling with unresolved feelings, and clothes, that were meant to stay in place.
