Summary
Stiles shifts uncomfortably in his seat, trying to focus on the meeting happening around him while his eyes flit continuously to the clock on the wall. Five more minutes. He’s sure the minute hand hasn’t moved in an eternity, but at least his torment is almost over.
He can feel sweat starting to bead along his hairline and swallows hard.
At the front of the board room, Mr Hale’s eyes flick to his and away, amusement hidden in their depths while he remains outwardly professional, smoothly delivering a presentation to the company’s Board of Directors. His suit is impeccable, as always — and probably costs more than Stiles’s last three pay cheques combined — but the sandpaper on his cheeks is just enough to add an edge to his appearance without being called stubble.
The sensitive skin on the inside of Stiles’s thighs tingles, and he struggles not to shift in his seat again. He probably shouldn’t be thinking about his boss’s sandpapery cheeks right now.

Summary
Chris and Peter return to Beacon Hills to find Stiles sleeping in Peter's loft. They're distressed to realise just how poorly he's been doing in their absence, feverish, emaciated, and an infected bite on his shoulder. While they hadn't planned to take him away until after he graduated, their plans change when they realise this town is eating him alive. They just have to get him to agree to leave before it swallows him whole.
Stiles is confused about why they care, but too exhausted and weary to put up a real fight.
