“No, I’m not asexual, Stiles,” Derek said shortly.
The teen’s heart sank in his chest, his palms going clammy and his neck prickling with the familiar feeling of rejection.
“So then it’s,” Stiles swallowed, throat clogging, unable to give voice to the facts he would much rather ignore. The silence grew between them, growing tense the longer it was left. For the first time in years, Stiles couldn’t speak. The weight of inadequacy held down his typical stream of useless banter. What does one say in this sort of situation? ‘I’m sorry you don’t find me attractive?’
In which the boys speak in half sentences and have two totally different conversations. What they can agree on, eventually, is that they love each other. And that Derek should jerk off more.

Summary
The Nogitsune leaves something behind in Stiles, something that twists him, breaks him, cracks his mind, and turns him not quite human. In order to heal and save him, he needs a strong anchor to the world. A mating bond with a werewolf is the best to way to achieve this and Derek is the only viable option. While both he and Stiles have an unspoken desire for the other, Stiles doesn't want to bond with Derek because he thinks he deserves punishment, not to be given something he wants on a silver platter. Derek just feels guilty as always, more so because he's forcing the bond. Will these two broken young men heal themselves and each other and find their way to a strong and abiding love? Can they control or even get rid of the thing lurking inside of Stiles that wants to hurt everyone he loves? And can Derek ever shake off the past and move forward?

Not wanting to think on it too much, Stiles took a step forward and passed his hand between the bars, moving the bleeding side closer to Derek’s mouth.
“Not too close, he bites.”
Stiles snatched his hand away just as Derek had been about to lick at it. The snarl he got in response was not comforting.
“He what?” Stiles asked nervously, turning to Deaton.
The man looked a little amused. “Don’t worry, only if he doesn’t like you.”
“Well, he probably hates me, now!” Stiles insisted, turning back to Derek.
He looked extremely displeased.
