“I can’t do this anymore, Brainy,” Lena cries, running a shaky hand through her wavy hair. “I can't keep pretending.”
Brainy’s brow furrows as he observes Lena. His head then cocks to the side, the realization dawning on him. Lena carefully steps around the glass shards towards the wall and slips down onto the floor. Brainy crouches down next to her.
“I-I don’t know when it happened,” Lena starts with a shuddery breath. She then shakes her head and laughs through her tears. “Actually, that’s a lie. It happened the moment she and I met.”

She understood why Nia was filming this. She understood the appeal of these videos, to see the vulnerability of two strangers. Videos that people could watch and wonder, could I ever do something like that? Could I ever sit in front of someone that I love so much, and tell them everything? Even if the whole world is watching?
Kara swallowed, Lena stared at her throat. Lena knew that Kara was thinking about answering, but that Kara also knew that Lena would want her to drink.
“This has been fun, right?” Kara smiled. “I fear if I answer, you’ll probably not want to speak to me ever again, but if I don’t answer,” she reached, taking Lena’s hand in hers “I’ll never get the chance.”

Summary
Post Phantom zone season 6 fic.
I got this plot idea from The X Files, when Mulder comes back from being abducted... lol
obviously it will be much different from that, but It's so hard for me not to compare Scully/Mulder to Kara/Lena, especially with the whole phantom zone plot in the show.
More of a fast burn, and a hint of a past kiss before Kara gets vanished to the phantom zone.
Lena takes Kara back to her apartment after recovering in the tower from the phantom zone, and Kara comes to a discovery.
