Summary
Buck: send me a photo of yourself
right nowThe response comes within seconds. Buck nearly chokes waiting.
Eddie: Why?
Buck: me and tommy are about to hook up, and i can’t get it up
He feels like he’s dying. What the fuck is he doing? Texting one man while another is lying in his bed waiting for him? He’s going to hell.
Eddie: And you need a photo of me because?
Great question. It’s a really great question. Buck doesn’t want to kill himself at all.
Or; Buck texts Eddie asking for a photo while trying to hook-up with Tommy. Eddie complies. Buck has many revelations.

Summary
“911, what’s your emergency?”
Eddie’s voice cracked. “I need an ambulance. Now. My friend—he’s collapsed. He’s burning up. I think he’s severely dehydrated. Maybe worse.”
The dispatcher asked for the address. Eddie gave it, fast, precise. Years of training kicked in, but his heart was racing, his throat tight.
“Is he conscious?”
“Barely,” Eddie said. “He’s not responding properly. He’s been alone. I don’t know how long.”
He hung up and knelt beside Buck again, brushing damp hair from his forehead. “Help’s coming,” he murmured. “Just hold on.”
OR
The aftermath of the lawsuit takes its toll on Buck and he slowly disappears without being seen by anyone.

Summary
“I need you to propose to me.”
Eddie nearly missed the mug and poured coffee on his own hand.
“What?” he asked, his mouth gone dry.
“I. Need you. To propose to me,” Buck repeated, as if saying it slower would somehow make it make sense.
“Propose…propose marriage?”
“No, a new business venture. Yes, propose marriage, Eddie, come on,” Buck scoffed.
“Right, yeah, okay,” Eddie shrugged, setting down his coffee mug with a loud thunk. He turned to face Buck fully, leveling him with a wide-eyed look. “Again, I have to ask. What?”
Buck asks his best friend Eddie to propose to him in public to see if they can score a free dessert. Eddie definitely doesn’t propose to him for real, because that would be insane. Right?

Summary
“You really showed up here after hooking up with someone? And you didn’t even shower?”
“W-what?”
“You reek of omega, Buck.”
“Eddie, I … no. That’s not … I didn’t hook up with anyone.” [...] “It’s me. You’re smelling me.”
“Nice try, but you’re an alpha, Buck. I know what an omega smells like, and this scent is strong.”
“Not anymore.”
“What does that even mean?”
“I’m not … not an alpha anymore, Eddie.”
