    Obito stood over him, silent, his lone red eye burning with an intensity that Kakashi couldn’t quite read. The ground beneath Obito’s feet was cracked from the force of the battle they had just fought, but the world around them remained eerily still. Kakashi could barely lift his head, but he could see enough to know this was it.

    (It should have been)

    Kakashi tried to lift his head, the question on his lips barely audible. “Obito—”

    But Obito’s eye had already started glowing, the familiar, spiraling pattern of his power activating. The air around them rippled, space warping and twisting. Kakashi could feel the pull of the technique, but it felt different this time, deeper, more forceful. His heart pounded in his chest.

    (Obito should have killed him)

    The world around him tore open, the swirling void enveloping him completely. He was falling—through time, through space—ripped away from the battlefield, away from the destruction about to unfold.

    (He didn't)

    Alternately: Kakashi ends up stuck in the Witcher world and misunderstandings are created.

    Honestly? Just overall bad vibes.
    But he's doing his best. Making it work. And trying not to become fully dead in the process.

    The Justice League is very concerned. But it's actually their fault they got involved so take that one, Batman.
    John Constantine told them not to do the thing. They did it anyway.

     

    Or, Danny gets summoned by the League, and he actually kind of adopts them in the process. Because these big city heroes don't know anything about ghosts and who is he if he doesn't help them out? Besides, the Watchtower is in space. Danny's always wanted to go to space...

     

    (I'm not really following any specific JL timeline, so like. Be prepared for 98% of everything to be *made up* and possibly *not real*.)

    Strange things are going on in Gotham: A series of crimes linked only by a sentence uttered. A drug that no one seems to be selling, but lots of people are taking. An old enemy reborn, or someone pretending to be him. Graffiti that can't be photographed by normal means. Bartenders disappearing without a trace. John Constantine is also there.

    Danny wants nothing to do with any of it. He just wants to sell burgers and survive. Actually, he'd like to go home again, but since that isn't possible, he'll stick with burgers.

    Gotham's vigilante's have other plans.

    This is why Danny doesn't do favors.
