Summary
Dana has given birth twice, but she’s had way more than two children.
Dennis may want a daddy, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t need a mom. Robby just sort of needs a kick in the ass.

Summary
“I put in 1095, but it won’t turn off!” Dennis shrieks, trying to be heard over the sound of the alarm. He knows that he didn’t get the numbers wrong because he’s staring right at them on the crumpled sticky note. “What am I doing wrong?”
“Did you push the off button?”
Dennis looks at the keypad, not seeing anything that says Off. “What?!”
“Put the code in and push the pound sign after.”
Dennis does as he’s told, except, in his panic, he hits the asterisk instead. “Shit.”
“It’s the hashtag,” Robby says, sounding entirely put out.
“I know what a pound sign is,” Dennis grumbles, hitting the button and noticing the word Off in the smallest font known to man under the #.

“You’ll help us out, won’t you, old man?”
“You don’t want to take him. He’s a veteran. What if he double-crosses you? Jack has tricks up his sleeve. He’s not a safe bet.”
“Dennis–”
“I can do it for you. I’ll get you what you need. You can trust me…because everything I’ve ever loved is on that floor right now. My card gives the same access as his.”

Summary
When Michael leaves on his three month Sabbatical that may or may not be final, Dennis takes up the task of house-sitting his Attendings vacant apartment.
What neither of them expect, is a (mostly) innocent string of texts turning into a habit of daily late-night calls.
Calls which keep the loneliness at bay but make the mutual unspoken yearning so much worse.Somewhere between “Everything okay over there?” and “Tell me about your day.” Dennis becomes the only thing that makes Michael want to come back home.
Dennis, meanwhile, has been in secretly love with his much older Attending from the start.Tiptoeing the thinning line between what's appropriate and what isn't, should have been an easy task with so many miles between them.
At least right up until one drunken confession and a phone call from home threatenes to shatter everything.Bookmarked by RobinMadeStilesDoIt
