So much more than you would ever know. I want to hold you close and never let go. I want your touch; your love; your attention. I want to spend the rest of eternity, the tedium of time, with you-just so then I would have something to live and die for. I yearn for the lingering glances you couldn't possibly cast on me. I yearn for the fleeting touches that last only in my imagination. I want to be ruined by you. To be broken, wrecked, consumed completely by you, so you can put me back together with soft whispers and sweet nothings.
But those were thoughts that belonged in the darkest hours of night; kept in the quiet confines of Ivan's room, where he would gaze out his window, only the faraway stars to keep him company.
And he knew better than to speak his mind.

Summary
The night Will stumbled into Mike's house, clutched his arm and grazed his teeth over the crook of Mike's neck, Mike knew it wasn't him.
Mike Wheeler and Will Byers had been friends since they met on the swings, sunlight highlighting the beginning of their Sandbox Love. Over the years, Mike and Will indulged with two other guys who adored DnD, Lucas and Dustin. Four teenage boys huddling a small dinnertable, building concepts and worlds out of paper and dice, proud of it even when people poked fun at them.
But sometime after freshman year, Will changed.
It started small. Will went to the gym, put on a little muscle, and stood straighter. More confident. People (Jocks and girls) started looking at him differently, and the worst part was Will looked back.
Every weekend, Mike would call the Byers Residency, and get smacked with Joyce telling him Will was at a party,
or some famous club out of town. Even though Mike knew how much Will hated those overwhelming, flashy, drunken late nights, but went to anyway.By a snap of a finger, Will wasn't just the quiet, shy boy in Mike's basement anymore.
And it only gets worse when every girl Will brings home, ends up on the news. Dead.

Summary
After Eleven’s death, Mike Wheeler had no language for what he felt toward Will Byers. He followed him to New York and expressed it the only way he knew how: by holding on too tight.

Leaving Ralph to mourn his only friend piggy and his right leg.
