Summary
O! how shall summer's honey breath hold out,
Against the wrackful siege of battering days,
When rocks impregnable are not so stout,
Nor gates of steel so strong but Time decays?
- William Shakespeare, Sonnet 65On the worst day of their lives, as they fight to kill each other atop the walls of Gondolin, Idril, Tuor, and Maeglin find themselves flung into the future and separated. Tuor wakes in a sacred pool, Idril in mountains full of shadows, and Maeglin (still holding Eärendil) right near a stronghold of Men.
Faramir would like to know why someone is in the Forbidden Pool right after he got Gollum out of it, Frodo would like to know why this elf-lady is reacting so strongly to them calling upon the Light of Eärendil, and Éowyn would like to know if this elf will lend her his armor so she can sneak out to fight...

Summary
Maeglin.
(Traitor. Criminal. Despicable.
That was how the world remembered one of the most wicked eldar in their history. It was his place in the books - as written by the survivors of Gondolin.
If one was to asked Maeglin himself, he would agree.
The Valar, on the other hand, wouldn't.)
Lomion.
(An orphaned child, not yet grown. A young ellon, lost in a world that had already cast him in their prepared paints. A voice, silenced, tears drowning the words of a story never told.
Until the Valar degreed that he will have another chance to find happiness.
(Maeglin, most sincerely, never agreed.)In the end, it comes down to this: Maeglin Lomion died, and he wanted to remain in the Halls to pay for his failure - only to find that Lord Namo re-embodied him against his will. Hiding in the comforting woods of an unfamiliar world, he knows what awaits him when the people of Gondolin find him. And he accepts that. It isn't until he is violently renounced by his mother that he finally finds the strength to face his perceived fate - only for nothing to go as he thought it would.
(And there is more than one being who won't let things end like that.)Series

Summary
The morning of November 2nd, Petunia woke to discover her nephew abandoned on her front step with a letter explaining how Lily was killed by the magical supremacists she had been fighting.
Petunia knows two things: 1) the born magicals were going to put the rest of her family in danger by leaving Harry with her. 2) Harry would live a life hunted by these magical supremacists.
Sure, there were “wards” now set around her house, but Petunia had no faith in them. No, the only way to truly keep her nephew and family safe was for Harry to disappear into the broader world and be on the move. But who met that criteria? Who would be constantly on the move and where would born magicals never think to look? The Circus!
It just so happened Haly's Circus was on a world tour and had passed through Surrey.
