The Convict knows it was an Angel, even though it looked like a person, because no one’s eyes could ever be that kind.

Summary
Colt Seavers is just about having the best year of his life. In spite of all the things going wrong in the world at large, he is having just about the best year, that it until he finds out his brother is on a one way trip to a star 11.9 light years away without telling him. Colt and Ryland were split up at the age of eight, with Colt heading to Florida and his brother remaining put. They lose touch and rekindle years later, but it's not enough to make up for all the lost time.
Aka Colt finds out about his somewhat estranged brother going to space via the news and has feeling about it. He lost touch with his brother as kids and pushed him away after his accident, somehow all of this makes it worse.
aka mom said it was my turn to write a story in which nothing in the canon changes but i pick a ryan gosling character to grieve grace on earth.
