Jax is spiraling fast after the favorite character awards and unlike the others nobody really wants to try and catch him. He would rather self destruct alone than try and reach out. He was so assured of himself that he was fine and if it was the end, then he was going out without dragging anyone else with him. Or so he thinks.

With the help of his friends, Mizu has executed the craven criminal lords Heiji Shindo and Abijah Fowler. By right of conquest, and as the shogun’s generous reward, Shindo’s holdings are now his, along with a noble title. And so is the most prized bride in all of Nippon, Akemi.
There’s just one problem. Maybe two. Lord Mizu of Sendai is not a man. (Well, most of the time.) And she's certain her new wife won't be happy about it. (She's wrong.)
