Summary
Staring at the former head of General Surgery, Meredith can see that her Dad was right.
She definitely has her mother's eyes.
So did the intern right beside her, who Meredith assumed was her younger half sister.
Shaking her head, she smiled at them, paying no mind to the hospital staff that gathered to see what the commotion was about.
"Greetings, I am Meredith Elizabeth Grey," she paused, looking at the crowd. Some of them were now looking between her and the older woman standing next to the chief who arrived shortly, noticing their similar appearance. She saw a group look at her younger sister, Lexie, noticing the connection with their surname.
"And I am Seattle Grace Hospital's new chief of General Surgery and-“ she turned to look at man beside her fiancé’s best friend, who was smirking at her. The other man had an annoyed expression on his face, which Meredith assumed was due to Mark’s clear fondness for her. “Your new neuro attending.”
She turned back to her estranged mother, who was looking at her in anger and shock. Meredith smirked. “Did you miss me, mother?”

Then one night after a long shift, Meredith kissed her and Addison kissed her back like it was the most natural thing in the world. It wasn’t scandalous or a betrayal of any sort. It was right and it was pure. Something that neither one of them had ever experienced before in their lives.
