Hashirama is bawling in a pregnant Mito’s arms, Izuna is teary-eyed, Tobirama looks done with life as he hands him a handkerchief, and down below, the villagers throw petals in the air in celebration.
Kurama, the backstabbing fox, sits atop his shrine altar, in a shrunken form, and looks smug as hell.
How did my life come to this?

Sakura gets sent careening into the Warring States Era due to a Uzushio ruin seal and decides to make it everyone else's problem.
Somehow, along the way, Uchiha Freaking Madara decides he likes the way she shatters the earth with her fist and demands she marry him.

Summary
Turning onto her side, Sakura curled up against Madara’s bare chest. Inhaling deeply, she held onto his scent. It brought to mind images of bonfires alighting the night in the deep, dark forests. The smell soothed her, made her feel at peace. Sighing with contentment, Sakura pressed her cheek against Madara’s chest and listened to the beating of her husband’s heart.
A warm feeling pooled low within her belly. Husband. Her husband. Sakura thought it had been hard enough on her self control when they’d been unmarried and forced by society to remain chaste. Now though, that he was hers and she was his, it felt all but impossible to keep her hands off of him.

“That’s impossible,” Tobirama spat. “That wound was fatal. Not even our best healers would have been able to save him.”
“Then it is very fortunate for you, Tobirama,” Madara said slowly, dangerously, “that I did not call for help from one of your healers.”
Once again there was a pause of silence.
“The Uchiha are not known for their healing abilities,” Hashirama finally said.
“No, they are not,” Madara agreed easily enough. “Thankfully, the world has all kinds of people in it.”
A small smile pulled at Sakura’s lips as she thought back to the day she’d said those very same words to him.

Summary
Sasuke always told Sakura she was weak. Even after she trained with Tsunade for years he only had eyes for Naruto whom he considered strong. She would forever be invisible to him no matter how many mountains she toppled.
Being a member of Team Seven despite Sasuke’s refusal to acknowledge her meant she got herself into her fair share of sticky situations. Getting stuck a hundred odd years in the past had to take the cake though.
But she was just a weak little girl and compared to the shinobi of old she’d be ridiculously pathetic. Sasuke had said she was weak to him – a modern day shinobi who hadn’t been forced into battle after battle like they did in the Warring Clans Era. Obviously she’d be nothing more than a spec of dirt in the eyes of the Founders.

Summary
In the aftermath of Sasuke's death, Sakura and Itachi are left to pick up pieces of themselves, each in their own way. If they collide, it's only because Tsunade plays dirty.
“I am assigning Haruno Sakura as your ANBU trainee.”
Itachi thought he was well within bounds to speak his mind, given that Tsunade must have been too emotionally invested in this to see clearly. “ANBU will break her.”
For the first time, Tsunade stopped writing and gazed up at him, a cutting edge in the amber of her eyes. “I’m counting on it,” she said, and followed it with a sigh ripped from the bottom of her lungs. “That girl is an ill-set fracture.”
Itachi had enough medical knowledge to understand her meaning. A broken bone, improperly or not at all set, healed wrong, leading to lifelong deformity. To prevent that, it had to be broken anew and reset correctly.Bookmarked by Sammygrrl
