"It's hardly that absurd," Dunk insists, hating that he feels sullen and dumb. He can appreciate a jest as much as any man, but no one relishes to be laughed at. "Certainly no more absurd than the Lord of Storm's End wanting me to share his tent."
Lyonel sobers minutely, hand slipping down to cup his chin as his grin softens to an amused smile. "And why would that be absurd?"
When Dunk agreed to a late-night ride, this wasn't exactly what he was expecting.

Summary
Dunk and Egg stop at a wedding tourney on their journey north to visit the Wall, encountering a strange assembly of people including an old friend in Ser Lyonel Baratheon. At least, Dunk hopes the man is a friend. But he finds the reunion between them to be much different than the one he expected.

“I can’t believe this is real,” Lyonel said, reaching up to touch Dunk’s face, tracing the very pink of his mouth with his fingers, feeling the damp warmth of his breath against the tips of them as his hand trembled, the young knight’s eyes bright with desire, mirth, and wine. He could feel his pulse in his fingertips, as he pressed softly against the bow of the young man’s mouth, hearing Dunk’s exhale, eyes almost fluttering shut at the touch. But somehow, either by the grace of the Old Gods or the Seven or whomever was in charge here Lyonel was again, seated across from the very man who had plagued him through the later years of his life. The man who had changed him and who he had wanted for so long.
