Summary
The Vytal Festival draws ever closer, as students from all four academies prepare to fight for the glory of their schools and kingdoms. But it isn't just the tourists who are gathering in Vale; the shadows gather too, marshalling under the command of Tempest Shadow. As Team SAPR, and the friends and allies they have made, prepare to meet in friendly competition, so too must they prepare for greater threats, and for the futures that await them beyond the safety of the school.
Cinder Fall has just returned from her mission against Doctor Merlot, where she joined with Team SAPR to defeat their common enemy; but her twin obsessions with Sunset and Pyrrha have led Salem to doubt her efficiency - and where her loyalties truly lie.
During the mission against Merlot, Team SAPR learned that Cinder had slain the Fall Maiden and taken the incredible magic power for herself. Now this revelation prompts Professor Ozpin to reveal a terrible secret, and propose a desperate plan that will lead Sunset, Pyrrha and Cinder to confront all their destinies as the Fall draws in around them.

Summary
Jaune, tormented with guilt and bitterly regretting his failure to return Pyrrha's ill-starred love while he had the chance, follows a maple leaf to a clearing in a forest; there, beneath an ancient statue, he finds a beautiful girl with vibrant red hair and bright green eyes - and no memories. Is this Pyrrha returned to them, as he believes, or is his grief affecting his grasp on reality, as Ruby thinks.
Either way, they can't just leave her in the forest, and so this girl who may or may not be Pyrrha accompanies them on their journey, her presence dividing the fledgling Team RNJR just at the moment they need to stand together against the shadows closing in all around them.

Summary
Whitley and Weiss Schnee were born as twins, the result? Both of them going to Beacon after passing their Royal Tests. Within the first five minutes of being at Beacon Whitley met and became bitter rivals with Blake Belladonna, who was more than happy to argue with a Schnee. Meanwhile, Weiss fell head over heels for the Invincible Girl and struggles with reconciling her identity with her desires. Whitley is left stuck between constant bickering, playing wingman, classes, and trying to uphold the Schnee name. Can the siblings and their new teams function like productive members of society long enough to stand against the coming darkness? Only time will tell.
