Summary
It starts, as most things do, with a radio. Tamika Flynn, you know, from Gotham? Plays the same station whenever she's on the late shift in one of Red Hood's operations. The static that comes out confuses her co-workers, but they, as all people do, grow used to it in time. Tamika makes faces, sometimes, reacting to something they can't hear, but after three years of the same quirk, those that manage to stick around find themselves sometimes humming along with the weather.
Tamika from Gotham doesn't speak much about why she listens to static, or why she insists on being called "Tamika from Gotham", despite not actually being from Gotham, but she does say that the epithet reminds her of home.
This changes when the boss himself checks in on their operation one fateful night and asks in confusion after voices unheard from a known sources, transmitting the unknown.

Jason starts his night with a hitlist, and ends it with a Radio that captures his attention immediately. Night Vale Community Radio is an interesting thing, after all. Listening at first with confusion, then fondness, he finds himself getting invested.
Everything changes after he hears Night Vale Community Theater's casting call.

Summary
Somehow, both Red Hood and Nightwing find themselves in a world of heroes very much unlike their own. As they each try to return home, they can't help but get involved further and further in this new world's growing frictions.
Jason desperately wants to return to Gotham, finish his mission, and keep his identity secret until the time is right.
Dick is just curious as to why the Red Hood is such a confusing rogue, and why exactly these professional heroes are involving children in violence they have no business being in.

Bailey doesn't look at you when he puts the supplies you hand him into the fridge, more concentrated on sorting what's old to the front to use first.
"I mean, about the orphans.", you mutter and don't know why you want him to answer, it's not like you're one of them anymore.
"You say they're not like your kids. But you're the only parent they have.""I know."
He doesn't say much more than that as he takes the last item off your hand to sort into the fridge.
