Seconds stretched to an eternity as his footsteps grew nearer, pausing in front of her knees. Mona felt rather than saw him kneel in front of her. Hold her hands gently into his. She was just about to open her mouth and ask him to get on with it when she felt the electro tingle spread from her fingertips. The tingle washed over her abdomen, and Kuni gripped her hands tighter into his own, intertwining their fingers.
Her eyes fluttered open. Warily looking at him. Her pretty husband kneeling impassively in front of her. No expression on his face, as he searched her face for a reaction first.
That was when she knew.
“We’re going to be parents again.”

“Oh, so just because you are the one sponsoring me it gives you the right to decide over things like that without my consent?” Mona asked, the venom that dripped from her voice only serving to fuel the amusement that brightened his dark eyes and when he suddenly leaned forwards to place his elbows on his desk and bring their faces closer until they were mere inches apart, his smirk deepened.
“It does.” Scaramouche told her, voice having dropped before he reached out to grasp her chin to sharply pull her closer, head tipped aside as his brows lowered. “Since you are working for my company you should follow my rules. Remember the conditions under which I agreed to let you work for me?”
Mona clenched her jaw as she kept her gaze locked with his, the memory of the day she had agreed for him to sponsor her still fresh on her mind and although she had known that her decision would most likely come to bite her in the ass later, she refused to give him the satisfaction of knowing that he managed to get under her skin.
“You’ll get that back, asshole.”
