“Nobara tilted her head, studying him with a focus that felt far too deliberate for someone her age. Then, without breaking eye contact, her eyes widened, and she let out a gasp. She turned to Nanami and tugged lightly at his sleeve.
“Mama,” she said, quiet but insistent. “Who’s that?”
Nanami glanced down at her before lifting his gaze briefly toward Gojo, his expression giving nothing away.
“Nobara, this is Gojo-san. He’s my—“ Wait, what was Gojo?
There were no foundations to call them friends. He wasn’t really considered a lover either. An old client? She wouldn’t understand that, nor does he want his daughter to know about his past profession.
“A customer,” he eventually supplied with a wince.
Thankfully, his daughter didn’t notice, but Gojo, of course, did. He was grateful that the man did not have an outburst about it. He's seen it plenty from Nobara as it was.
ALT ; Gojo steps into a cafe and learns he has a two-years-old called Nobara. Nanami doesn’t know what to do.
