Skywarp is no longer the playful shadow haunting Thundercracker’s wings. Thundercracker watches everything, trusts no one. And neither of them will speak of what truly happened during that long absence.

Little did the people of Detroit Sanctuary that with in their precious lake rested a new hope that crashed landed decades ago.

Summary
FirstAid has had the misfortune of being trapped inside the death box. The haunted Mecha where many a pilot came out either horribly disfigured or out of their minds.
VORTEX
FirstAid had to clean the cabin of the pilots unlucky enough to be assigned to the cursed machine. So many times he’s lost count by now. Enough, that he knew the stubborn creases and cracks that blood liked to stick to.
And the mecha wouldn’t… or hadn’t killed him off. Yet anyway.
(Based off @Keferon’s mecha au on Tumblr! I encourage you to read other people’s little snippets and short stories based on this au, they’re great! I had a lovely time reading them)

Summary
Jazz had been prepared to die in a million gruesome ways and fight for his life in a million more when he agreed to do this. Jumping into the alien portal spitting out the giant death machines they'd been fighting for the last two decades wasn't really a great idea after all. But they were out of passive options, so he'd said all his goodbyes, made the government promise to put his death to good use if he didn't come back, and sent it.
Of all the things, ending up stranded in a desert and blindly following a group of sinfully rich alien pilots (because they definitely didn't speak any Earthen language) was not one he had planned for.
At least they also seemed to be dealing with the same giant evil alien problem as Earth.

The mech blinks at him and scowls. Which, wow, okay, it has a face. Mouth, eyes, a nose—the works. Well, one of the eyes isn’t lit up, but still. It can blink! Jazz couldn’t even get the clearance to have Bebop’s visor display emojis, and not for the lack of trying. Meanwhile, this guy gets a whole, expressive face and—holy shit, are those teeth?

Summary
For the last thirteen years, Earth has been under attack by an invasion of biomechanical monstrosities from outer space. In that time, humanity has managed claw survival back into their own hands through the establishment of The Mecha Program, allowing human pilots to battle with the alien horde via neuro-linked, gigantic kickass armored weapons known as mecha.
After over a decade of research and development, for the first time humanity is taking the fight to the invaders.
Striker 1061, Callsign: JAZZ, is sent into Earths orbit to test an experimental space-worthy mecha, and instead finds himself in an unexpected fight as one of the aliens emerges from a tear in space directly next to him.
Attacking the invader, both it and Jazz go back through the tear, where the gathered alien supervisors shit themselves and launch the human back through the gate: Destination Unknown.Both the mission control of Earth and the Quintesson Overseers can only assume there is no possible way the human pilot is still alive.
But if somehow he is, then surely, his Odds of Survival must be Zero.
