Had, was the keyword because he developed a disease that crushed that bright future in front of him. Perhaps in his next life, he could be much healthier than he was post-disease.
That didn't mean reincarnating as the villain Jiang Wanyin from the book Dukedom's Heir, whom he despised the most, though. Whoever thought this was a good idea can choke.
