Summary
Nowadays 80% of population has a quirk, it's the new normal. But it wasn't always like that. The shiny baby was the first famous individual with a meta-ability, and the media had no interest about the babies born with powers in India two weeks prior. If it didn't make it to the news, it didn't happen. Other people might had meta-abilities before, powers locked in secrecy, away from the public eye for fear of being marginalized or scared. Teenagers and young adults manifested said quirks after the shiny baby appeared, it's what it was said... or was it before? That didn't matter, not with the civil war that insued years later. Not with how many died on the dark ages of the Vigilantes Era.
Everything that began had an end. Human lives aren't eternal, so there wasn't anyone from that time to confirm.
Except two.
Their quirks came to the world in the same year, the one before the shiny baby came to be. One was born with it and became the Boogeyman to some, AfO. The other manifested it when he was 17 by accident.... Izuku Midoriya. Memories, regrets, trinkets, women, pains... He collected much to fill the void, the gap of trauma and existence. And it all comes to light now. -

Summary
The dilemma of becoming a hero who saves people while coming from a family of "criminals" always twisted his mind.
For Izuku his family was palpable, made of flesh and bone. The people he could help in the future were purely made of idealistic thoughts."Maybe I should leave that to people who are actually good"
