Summary
When a guardian is revived they don't remember their past; who they were, what they did, even their name. Only the Exo, human minds transplanted in robotic bodies, come close to remembering. Most only remember their names, some have shadowy memories but so fleeting they are gone as soon as they happen. What would happen if one human guardian does remember? This story follows a guardian from just before the collapse and her adventures as she is in a world where very few remember the past.

Summary
Tighnari was awoken by a loud thud just outside his front door, followed by a weak knock, so light that if Tighnari’s hearing had been any less than what it was, he may have missed it. He peeled the sheets off of his legs and pulled a blanket over his shoulders as he ambled his way from his bedroom to his front door. He listened for just a moment for any sounds that would indicate danger on the other side of the door. When none came, he wrapped his fingers around the handle and pulled the door open.
Standing in front of him, swaying slightly from side to side, dried rust colored patches over his arms and chest, was Cyno. Tighnari managed to lurch forward just in time to catch him before he collapsed onto the ground. Cyno was heavy and warm in his arms, his breathing shallow and quick.

Summary
There is an old Sumerian folktale, not well-known, from about five hundred years behind present day, wherein several witnesses of a travelling caravan claimed to have seen “the greatest explosion of light they had ever laid eyes upon, as if a star itself had come down to bless Teyvat with its holy light, a sign from Celestia, undoubtedly.” The caravan watched from at least fifty miles away, and still the light blinded them, claiming it momentarily made the entirety of the desert dark for an infinitesimal wink of time.
A few of these witnesses claimed that for a moment, it felt as if Death itself had made its presence known amongst this band of mere mortals before the light dissipated into the wind as quickly as it had come.
