Pomni hit the ground hard enough to knock the wind out of her. She gasped for air, coughing a few times, the cold of the ground helping to orient her. There were spots in her vision and she winced at the sharp throb in her skull.
Finally, her lungs filled with air and her eyes were able to open and she saw…what the hell was she looking at? Pomni was on the ground, on her back, and in front of her was some kind of…pod? Chamber? The front door had unlatched and was currently wide open, the clamps that had previously kept her secured in place open and empty, a headset melded to the headrest. A headset that was distinctly empty…because her head was attached to her body…on the ground— holy shit is she real?!

Cyno almost choked on his drink. “What?” Tighnari was certain he’d never seen Cyno’s eyes so wide as they were right now, brilliant shades of copper staring over the table at him. “You’re going to need to repeat that.”

“Ha ha.” Jayce mocked, shutting the book loudly before tossing it onto the table. “Have you had your fun?”
Viktor was still chuckling. “Not nearly as much as our investors wife will.” This time he did hear a little snort of a chuckle from Jayce.
“You have no idea how awkward opening that letter was,” Jayce lamented. “I was in a meeting with Heimerdinger for gods sake and I just read ‘Dear Jayce Talis, my wife has certainly found quite a liking for you and our anniversary is coming up. I’d like to make a personal request’. It was mortifying.” Now Viktor was really laughing. His eyes were tearing up as he reached up to wipe at them.
“Bringing magic to the world, one Hextech sex toy at a time.” He joked and Jayce laughed with him.
“Sextech if you will.” They both fucking lost it.

The boys get a commission for a rather specific invention and Viktor agrees to test it. Shenanigans ensue.

He took a moment to catch his breath before he pulled the thermos off of his arm and set it snugly in the snow to wait. He grabbed the axe, making sure his grip was sturdy just like his dad taught him before lifting it high in the air above his head and bringing it down onto the log.
“I’m sorry you feel that way.”
“Me too.”
The hammer slammed down on Salo’s head, crushing him to the ground as Jayce looked down at the mess he’d made. His heart pounded, adrenaline coursing through his brain as dozens of emotions ran through his system all at once. Blood leaked across the once pristinely white snow, Salo’s head motionless on the chopping block as Jayce cried out in shock and horror. The axe fell from his hands and he fell back into the snow below him, bringing his hands up to his eyes to shield them from the gruesome mess in front of him.
Eventually, he grew the courage to part his fingers, peering through them timidly.
A split log.
On the chopping block was…a split log.
TLDR; I had the idea of a Time Travel Fix It where Jayce and Viktor get sent back to when they were kids and get a do over from there so this is that. Hope you like long projects because I want this to be BIG!

Summary
Eight years ago Viktor had left Jayce, had left Hextech to return to Zaun and became a tenured professor at Zaun’s Academy of Techmaturgy.
Six years ago, Jayce conceded to the knowledge that he couldn’t manage Hextech on his own and accepted a position as a professor at Piltover Academy.
After receiving an offer he couldn’t refuse, Viktor returns to Piltover to take over for the former professor of Advanced Engineering and Robotics and he and Jayce come face to face once again after eight years. Jayce is determined to make things right and get his partner back, while Viktor is still nursing old wounds from their separation.
Will they be able to overcome the mistakes of their past and find solace in one another?

God knows it’s the longest, most quiet minute Jayce has ever experienced. Eventually, Viktor clears his throat. “Were you…Were you serious? About me joining you for Christmas?”
It's so quiet that Jayce almost misses it.
At some point, he also reminds himself to inhale. “Of course!” he breathes. “Viktor, I, I don’t want you to be here by yourself.”
A faint frown tightens Viktor’s brow again, deeper than the last, but it’s gone as soon as it appears. He sighs and nods, almost to himself. “Thank you, I…I will take you up on that offer. If that’s okay, of course, with your family.”
