“Maybe I should have given you something for mother’s day too, huh?” Dean asked. He stepped closer and wound his arms around Sam’s waist, resting his head on Sam’s shoulder.
Sam rolled his eyes even though Dean couldn’t see it, fondly exasperated at his brother’s antics.
“Maybe I should’ve gotten you flowers or made breakfast in bed or you know-” Dean grinned against Sam’s shoulder. “-given you another kid.”

Summary
Giving a shrug, Lance walks the short distance across to the fire, eyes adjusting so he can properly see the mess of dark hair and red and white armor. “Something wrong?”
Lance shrugs, flopping down gracelessly beside Keith with a yawn. “Had a nightmare, you know how it is.”
“Yeah, it's either horrible unrealistic nightmares, memories that should be unrealistic nightmares, or things that just don’t make any sense.” Keith smiles softly, tossing another log in the fire as he turns his eyes to Lance. “Need to talk about it?”
“Nah, It's just another memory of the time I di- er… did something stupid.” He feels the disappointment in his mind, even as he poorly changes his words, ignoring it he picks up a stick, poking at the fire.

Summary
“Lance?” It was Shiro’s voice. Lance looked at him warily as he came in, and Shiro offered him a warm smile.
“Hey, Shiro,” Lance said heavily, plastering a smile onto his face. “What can I do for you?”
“I just thought I’d come and check on you,” Shiro said and Lance pursed his lips.
“Well… here I am,” he said with a shrug.
“You’ve just… been quiet for a few days,” Shiro said, biting his lip. “Like… unusual for Lance quiet.”
Shiro paid attention enough to know what was a usual state of loudness for Lance? Was he really that annoying?
“I’m just tired,” Lance offered as an explanation, praying that Shiro would just take it and leave him alone.
“Oh, I’m sure,” Shiro nodded. “I know the feeling, I think we all do.”
“Yeah, I was thinking of putting Red on auto for a bit and having a nap, or something,” Lance said, offering him another excuse to leave. Come on, Shiro, just take it.
“That sounds like a good idea,” Shiro said, still not moving. “Do you mind a little company for a while?”
