Summary
Steve is holding his own and then some—he's already taken down four men to Matt's two; Matt's just about redundant—but that still leaves seven on their feet, and Steve can't deal with them all.
Matt throws his club at Seven, who's trying to shoot Steve in the back while he takes care of Six. Steve's fast, though. Six hasn't even hit the ground when Steve turns and his arm comes up in time to deflect the dart. Which shouldn't be possible, except the dart bounces off with a tiny, metallic clang. What the hell?
This guy isn't Steve. He's someone else. Someone who smells like Steve and moves like him, but who's not quite as tall, Matt realizes, even if he's just as heavy. And his left arm smells like a hot engine.

“You go home!” Steve hit Oliver as hard as he could. In return, Oliver socked him in the side and knocked him into the wall. He threw punches wildly, but none of them connected. Instead, a hard shove knocked him onto his back. His head hit the hard packed earth, and his vision whited out in a flash of pain.
But then Bucky jumped in, appearing in the fight as suddenly and as fiercely as a summer thunderstorm.

Bucky ran and dove down behind a ruined stone wall as the furious bird leapt for him, clawing and flapping its wings.
Bucky dropped his prize, pulled his shoulders up around his ears and depended on his helmet to provide some protection as he frantically tried to fight it off. It was like trying to shove away a tiny, vicious jackhammer.
“That’s not a duck, it’s a rooster,” Mickle said, taking shelter behind the barn.
“I don’t need a lesson on fuckin’ poultry!” Bucky shouted.

“Yeah, I’m used to fighting off bullies at least twice a day, this once a week thing was getting boring, you know?” Bucky bluffed back. He knelt up, took a shot, then ducked back down. He licked his lips, but his mouth was as dry as a desert.

Summary
Bucky Barnes was Steve Rogers' Dom since they were teens. But then the War came and Bucky fell, and the Red Room and then Hydra destroyed his protective instincts along with his memory.
Now Bucky's returned, but he's far from healed. He can barely stand to be in the same room as Steve, let alone make Steve his sub again. With no one to take him in hand, Steve is spiraling out of control, losing himself to desperation and despair.
Clint Barton can't stand to see his friends suffering, and comes up with a plan to fix it: he'll act as Bucky's sub, until Bucky's able to be a Dom again. Then Bucky can take Steve back.
It's not the worst idea Clint's ever had, but that doesn't mean it won't end in disaster anyway.

I cannot hear the roll of my new owner's eyes, but I can predict it easily enough. I used to like watching humans. Their little eccentricities fascinated me to no end. After our journey it wasn't enough anymore. Watching hurt when I knew what it was to touch, to hold, to be an unadulterated good. I miss it sometimes, the watching. When I do I replay my most precious memories and remind myself of the wonder behind my discontent.
I miss you, my last client and my miracle boy.
I will miss you until the day I die. I swear it again because it seems that may not be today.
