I swear to mother fucking god if you fried your brain again!” He growled into his headset, glaring at the screen like it was the one that personally insulted him. “Chargebolt!?” Katsuki shook his head furiously and slammed down on the switch board to a nearby hero. “Oi! Where the fuck is Chargebolt?!”

    “Hey dispatch!” Great. Fucking fantastic! He got the gold retriever. “Uh... he fried himself again.” Red Riot whispered. “Deku’s taking care of it at the moment.”

    Izuku Midoriya just wanted to become a hero to help people. Even as he was diagnosed quirkless, he still wanted to become one, despite all the jeers and snarked remarks. Slowly, his spirit becomes crumpled, and given an opportunity at meeting his idol, All Might, he asks that one question on his mind. His dreams were crushed as he was left on that rooftop. Izuku realizes how cracked people's views are, given the example of All Might. So no, never again, he doesn't need the validation of people against him. He'll just become a hero out of spite and show them.

    Captain Kirk is scheduled to beam down to a new planet to establish a trade agreement with the Federation. However, a raging ion storm interferes with the transporter and Jim finds himself in an alternate reality where he is immediately apprehended by strange aliens. In this reality the Federation is non-existent and instead replaced with a brutal Empire and the crew of the Enterprise is part of a rebel faction fighting against its tyranny. Before he is executed Jim is rescued by a familiar Vulcan. It becomes apparent this universe's Kirk and Spock had a strong connection where his own efforts to befriend the Spock of his universe had been rebuffed. Jim strikes a deal with this Spock to help him find a way to return to his universe in exchange for helping the Vulcan locate the missing Captain and crew of this alternate reality. But the longer he stays and the closer he grows to this Spock will he really want to go back?
