That was the purpose of the job anyway, Soobin supposed. His whole purpose is to think about, protect, and even lay down his life for his assignment.
He is meant to be a shadow to Beomgyu. By protecting him, he’d be serving his country. Just like his father did.
They don’t have to get along.
Or, Soobin is a Secret Service agent assigned to the First Son of the United States – Beomgyu, his arch-nemesis from high school.

it only takes a second before he’s suddenly on his back, pain blossoming from the harsh grip that soobin has on his shoulders. the older’s eyes are impossibly dark.
“so you just want to be reminded of who you belong to?” soobin murmurs next to his ear. beomgyu can’t stop his shudder in delight. “because i can do that.”
