Summary
Sun Wukong, trickster god, the scourge of heaven and hell alike, chaos incarnate, was allowed a chance at redemption. And he more than proved himself during and even after his journey to the west.
How is it fair, then, that a being who caused nothing but chaos was granted this chance whereas his former friend, killed by Wukong himself, was doomed to spend the rest of his existence in Diyu?
Macaque is granted the ability to return to the living but with one condition: he is stripped of his powers. To regain his former strength, Macaque must make "the right decisions" - whatever that means.
Adopting an orphaned child seems like a good step forward.
Or: Macaque accidentally becomes a dad, gets therapy, and forms a new family.

Summary
Alastor lacks both a shadow and emotions. His colleagues in the police force suspect him of murder, Charlie, his partner, being his sole defender. When Charlie’s father is killed, the pair investigate, only to find more than they ever imagined. Even worse: Alastor’s shadow has returned.
As Head Ranger for the Eerie Sounds National Park, Lucifer protects the park visitors and its supernatural occupants from each other. Shocked to learn of his alleged death, Lucifer is delighted to see his estranged daughter…until Alastor outs him as a fairy and follows with parenting advice.
Alastor despises how easily Lucifer is swayed by emotion. Lucifer prefers Alastor’s shadow. Can they stop the serial killer—or will the beast of Eerie Sound claim more victims?
