    Damian decided his place early on in their friendship. He was never meant to be a part of Jon’s world, but he had to stand beside it. Jon needed someone who understood both halves of the life he led as a hero and teenager. He needed someone there to protect him, so both sides could live in harmony. Jon wouldn't get wrapped up in what felt like a Wayne family curse—that dwindled each of them down to being nothing other than “heroes”. Where their personalities no longer aligned to what music they liked or subjects they struggled in. The Waynes were known for what they believed in, and the justice they served to protect.
