It’s not that he thought Alex was lying about having a boyfriend, but he’d always been this amorphous blob in Liam’s mind—like this intangible thing that was real but he couldn’t see. Now, though? He is very real, very present, and very much has a fresh bite mark on his neck bonding him to, presumably, his best friend for life.OR; five times people found out that Alex and Henry are bonded, and one time the whole school finds out.

After a few months, Alex starts taking short shifts when he’s not in class. He eventually drops his college classes to help with the shop full time. He knows his mom is disappointed with his decision, but he just can’t see himself as a lawyer anymore. He’s not sure he could trust himself to not make something explode during a heated debate.

Summary
After Henry left Alex at his father's lakehouse, and rejected him when Alex showed up at Kensington begging for a chance, Alex accepted that Henry simply didn't love him. The cough he developed on the flight home was of course purely coincidental.
Nothing to worry about. Definitely nothing to call Henry about.

Summary
Henry and Alex had never gotten along particularly well. Despite living in the same neighborhood and attending the same schools since they were eight they had never gotten particularly close. In fact, if Henry were to take a guess, he would think that Alex flat out hates him. Alex’s older sister and one of Henry’s best friends, June, is always quick to correct him. Alex doesn’t hate you, she would say. He just doesn’t understand you. Henry didn’t quite believe her.
They aren’t close. So Henry can’t help but wonder why he seems to be the only one who notices that something is wrong.
