Erelyth swallowed hard. “I remember.”
He swept his hands up and threaded his fingers through her hair, thumbs caressing her cheeks, and she could see the worry reflected in his eyes. “As much as I wanted you then, I truly fear what I may be like with you under the salt’s influence.”
She shook her head firmly. “Halsin, I don’t.” She lowered her arms from his shoulders, cupping the backs of his hands with hers and giving him a warm look. “I told you then that I trusted you. I still do. And—” She leaned up and kissed him softly. “I think I would like it…being devoured by you.”

Astarion caught her finger and brought it to his lips. “You say that as though it’s a bad thing,” he replied in a silken tone, nipping at her fingertip before flicking his tongue against the pad playfully. Then he fully sucked it between his lips.
Her blush should have set them both on fire.
